(63 lbs.) The PC/5V2HR Pack-N-Kut® is preferred by fire departments and search and rescue teams.
Broco® Industrial PC/TA-60 Utility Torch
The PC/TA-60 torch and striker is excellent for maintenance facilities and repair trucks. It consists of 30 feet of 3/8” oxygen hose and 30 feet of power cable. It also includes a 30 foot hose and cable extension to give 60 total feet of reach.
Broco® Industrial Ultrathermic Rods
Broco® Industrial Prime Cut® Ultrathermic rods contain core wires which burn in excess of 10,000° F at the tip. Broco® rods cut, melt or liquefy virtually any known substance.
These internal rods are recessed at the torch end to prevent burn back into the torch. This safety feature is unique to Broco® Industrial. Circular crimps secure the internal wires. Broco® Industrial Ultrathermic rods can be bent without restricting oxygen flow or splitting enabling the operator to reach difficult or otherwise inaccessible places and ensure even burn.
Broco® BR-22 PLUS Cutting Torch — The next generation cutting torch.
Broco, Inc., the world leader in underwater cutting and welding systems,
introduces the next generation BR-22 PLUS Cutting Torch (patent pending).
This new torch features 21 design improvements, including the removal of all rubber from direct oxygen pathway, a PTFE lined fiberglass reinforced coupler hose, improved flash arrestor with higher oxygen flow rate and better flash back protection, non-return valve to prevent back flow, and improved collet and collet washer design.
Broco’s Engineering Technology Group dedicated two years to the design and development of the new torch with diver safety as its top priority. As with the original BR-22, it is also ergonomically designed for diver comfort, and is made with quality materials to deliver years of trouble-free performance at low cost. All Broco rods and electrodes used with the BR-22 also can be used with the new BR-22 PLUS.
Featuring 21 new design improvements, including:
- Redesigned collet provides tighter hold on the cutting rod. Redesigned collet washer removes rubber from the oxygen stream and extends washer life.
- Ceramic washer provides noncombustible electrical isolation.
- PTFE lined fiberglass reinforced hose withstands extremely high operating temperatures and is combustion resistant.
- The internal gasket reduces electrolysis, insulates the diverï¿1⁄2s hand from electrical current, and reduces potential for gas pockets in the torch.
- Sintered element slag arrestor withstands more heat and sparks and increases oxygen flow rate.
- Non-return valve stops the flow of hot gases in the event of a flash back.
- Valve lever and valve stem have been redesigned to allow manual return should the valve stem get stuck.
- Redesigned valve to better meter flow.
In addition, Broco now offers a new QuiverPakTM (patent pending) with 50 cutting rods in a reclosable polyethylene box that easily attaches to a dive harness.
Broco’s new BR-22 PLUS is the most exciting and innovative development in underwater cutting in more than 30 years.

Broco® Underwater Cutting System
Consisting of the BR-22 Torch, HVR-4401 Regulator, UW/KS Knife Switch, and Ultrathermic Cutting Rods, the Broco® Underwater system provides the fastest, most efficient and cost effective means of completing underwater tasks involving cutting, piercing, or gouging.
The Ultrathermic Cutting Rod produces a temperature in excess of 10,000°F – hot enough to quickly cut or melt through almost anything including cast iron, stainless steel, brass, other ferrous and non-ferrous metals and concrete. 10,000° F means more cut per inch of rod than any other on the market. The Ultrathermic Cutting Rod cuts through marine growth, rust, and mill scale eliminating the need for pre-cleaning and helping lower operating costs and reducing bottom time.
The Broco® Underwater Ultrathermic Cutting System uses only oxygen and maximum of 150 amps. Other equipment may require as much as 500 amps to cut. Our Ultrathermic Cutting Rod readily ignites from a spark generated by a 12 or 24 volt auto or marine battery and will continue to burn with electrical current removed until the flow of oxygen is stopped or the rod is consumed. The need for expensive support equipment is reduced while a safer diving environment is maintained. The recommended oxygen working pressure of 90 psi over bottom economizes oxygen consumption.
Broco® Underwater Ultrathermic Cutting Rods
- 10,000° F cuts or melts almost anything
- Bend to 90 degrees plus for hard to reach spaces
- Patented design for safe operation
Burning in excess of 10,000° F at the tip, Broco® Underwater Ultrathermic Cutting Rods cut or melt virtually any known material. Broco’s patented rod design features alloy core wires retained by circular crimps. The special design prevents burnback into the torch, making Broco® Underwater Ultrathermic Cutting Rods the safest on the market. Ultrathermic Cutting Rods can be bent 90 degrees or more to access hard to reach places without restricting oxygen flow or causing insulation to split or flake off.
Ultrathermic Cutting Rods may be used with a maximum of 150 amps to assist in the burning process but have no electrical requirement. Once ignited, they continue to burn as long as oxygen is supplied or until the rod is consumed. Broco® Underwater Ultrathermic Cutting Rods are available in 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch diameters. Standard length is 18 inches. Broco® offers 36 inch Ultrathermic Cutting Rods for heavier jobs allowing more burn time between rod changes.
